Although the amicron variant of the first-identified coronavirus in South Africa is highly contagious, the World Health Organization (WHO) says the virus is weaker than the delta type. Omicron can easily infect infected people or people who have been vaccinated with previous strains of the virus, the agency said. However, the effects of this infection are mild.

On November 24, for the first time in South Africa, a patient with amicone was diagnosed. After that it spread to different countries of the world. An expert called the variant B1.1.529, the first identified corona in South Africa, “the most terrifying of all time.”
