The Detective Branch (DB) has arrested a young man in Noakhali on charges of taking pornographic pictures and videos of women in a trap and taking unethical advantage. He was arrested on Thursday afternoon from London Market area of Kadirpur union in Begumganj upazila of the district.
The arrested youth was identified as Yassin Arafat alias Shakil (22). He is the son of Shamsul Haque of Ghatla village in Kadirpur union. Yasin is the head of a teenage gang, police said.
According to district detective police sources, Yasin, the head of a teenage gang in Kadirpur area of Begumganj, was arrested on Thursday on the basis of secret information. A smartphone was seized from him after the arrest. A search of the confiscated smartphone revealed that the phone contained pornographic stills and video images of various girls.
Police say Yassin Arafat said during interrogation that he had tricked the girls into capturing pornographic pictures and videos on their mobile phones. He then saves them for the purpose of taking unethical advantage.
District Superintendent of Police. Shahidul Islam told Prothom Alo that on the basis of intelligence information, a team of district detective police arrested Yasin Arafat, the head of a teenage gang from Kadirpur union in Begumganj, around noon on Thursday. A case has been filed against him under the Pornography Control Act.
