Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky says Russia is sending “very dangerous signals” about troop deployments on the border. He warned that his military was ready to repel any attack.
Zelensky further claims that Kiev has uncovered a coup plot against Russian citizens. The warning came as Western nations expressed concern over the movement of Russian troops on Ukraine’s border.
The United States has said in a statement that it is “concerned” about Russia’s military presence on the border with Ukraine. NATO chief Jens Stoltenberg has warned that Russia will have to pay the price if it uses force against Ukraine.
“Dangerous talk is coming from Russia,” Zelensky told a news conference in Kiev. This is a sign of rising tension.
