Dewanganj upazila of Jamalpur has been accused of violating the code of conduct surrounding the forthcoming fifth phase union council elections. He came to Aceland and fined his workers and supporters for slaughtering cows.

Assistant Commissioner (Land) Ahna Jinnah conducted a mobile court raid and fined the candidate Tk 8,000 for violating the election code of conduct. He was also fined Tk 5,000 for violating the code of conduct in different places.

Executive Magistrate Ahna Jinnah said the UP member candidates have been fined Tk 11,000 by the mobile court for violating the code of conduct by using posters, double microphones on the wall, promoting microphones during prohibited times and feasting during the union council elections. The mobile court campaign will continue till the election and action will be taken as per law.

In another place, a fine of Rs 5,000 was imposed for violating the election code of conduct. Police including Zohar Hossain Khan, in-charge of Sanandabari police investigation center were present at the time.
