Google Cloud appoints Anil Bhansali to India as VP Engineering


Google Cloud on Monday said it has named Microsoft’s former executive Anil Bhansali as India’s vice president of engineering. According to a company release, he will manage all software development activities in support of Google Cloud in the region.

He is joining Microsoft’s Google Cloud where he was their Azure cloud division’s corporate vice president and site leader for their India research and development department, it added. He led development efforts around the Workplace, Quest, and Windows divisions of the business throughout his 28-year career at Microsoft.

“Anil Bhansali has joined Google Cloud to help grow and scale our software development support efforts in India so we can continue expanding and advancing Google Cloud services,” Amit Zavery, Vice President of Engineering at Google LLC, said.

“I’m excited to be part of the technology charter of one of the world’s most innovative companies, and look forward to growing Google Cloud’s development support efforts in India to deliver solutions for customers faster and with great impact,” said Anil Bhansali.
