Company Gibbs Sports Amphibians, based in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, manufactures scooters that can be turned into a jetboard within few seconds.
An amphibious vehicle is one that can both operate on the road and surf on the water.
While the amphibious scooter itself lacks some of the futuristic designs found in newer scooter models today, it’s nonetheless impressive what the company has engineered. Amphibious scooter Biski is one of the post-production prototypes, that company Gibbs Sports Amphibians, the brainchild of New Zealander Alan Gibbs, has built.
The amphibious vehicle weighs like a standard maxi-scooter – ~ 503lbs and has a 55hp twin cylinder petrol engine that can reach speeds up to 80mph on the road and impressive 37 knots on the water. For now Biski is just a concept, mass production plans as well as price and release date is yet to be confirmed. However, judging by how well Biski operates (see the video below), it won’t be difficult to find buyers.
