China is already under increasing questions regarding the origin of the corona virus. Now Germany’s news magazine Der Spiegel has claimed that China had requested the World Health Organization (WHO) to delay issuing a global warning about the corona outbreak. According to the magazine, Chinese President Xi Jinping himself called WHO chief Tedros Adhanam for this. It urged them to delay issuing warnings. The magazine made this claim based on information from the Federal Intelligence Service of Germany.
According to the magazine, during the deadly virus outbreak, the President of China made this call in January and requested Tedros above. However the WHO has denied this media report. The organization tweeted one after the other, saying that there was never any conversation between Xi Chinfing and Tedros. Such misreportations hurt WHO and the world’s efforts to fight the Kovid-19 epidemic. Earlier, US President Donald Trump also made serious allegations against the World Health Organization. However, the WHO had then dismissed those allegations.
The World Health Organization said that China reported on January 20 the corona virus’s man-to-man infection. The WHO said on 22 January that data showed that man-to-man infections are occurring in Wuhan. In March, it declared the corona virus an epidemic. It is noteworthy that US President Donald Trump has also been accusing the WHO of hiding information related to Corona. They have described this global organization as a weapon of Chinese propaganda. They have also stopped it from being provided by the US.
